Excuse my upsetting words, but I am REALLY MAD.
I feel that I have been very patient with Dr. P's office with all the S stuff going down, (I drove the 45 minutes to and from to have them tell me that they don't have two of the four immunizatoin shots he needs so come back on Monday.)
but this is crazy.
So I have to call them again this morning and they didn't have any thing there where I asked them to send me a fax of M's Immunization form, so I gave it to her again. And told her that I asked for last week and it didn't come and that I need it today because she starts school tomorrow. She was nice and I went to take a shower and came back and there is was. I was so excited, however it is the same OLD copy that I already have, but very blurry and can hardly make out Dr. P's signature. NOW I AM MAD. She had her appointment on the 18th of July and they don't have her records updated? Am I wierd to think that this should have been done months ago and that they haven't kept up with the information. And now I have to wait, because the lady said she has to go back and look it all up and it is going to take a while and that she call me back when she gets it. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? She made me feel as though is was my fault that she doesn't have her crap together and seemed to be upset that I have to make her do it. I AM MAD!!!!!!!!!! I JUST WANT HER SHOT RECORD!! IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR????
I also tried called the new DR. .....YES..........my luck is that bad.......she is gone again till Wednesday. So her office is closed. I am just at my wits end with it all. So it looks like I will be driving the 45 minuted there and 45 minuted back to get the correct shot record and not a Crapy copy. Why wouldn't they update her records when she got her shots? That was over 2 months ago! Why does this kind of simple stuff seem so complicated and always gives me grief.
Wish me luck and say a prayer for me.

Out of the mouth of my 4 year old!
So we were in the living room and all I have managed to do is hang a picture of Jesus Christ on the only nail that was already in the wall. And I was reading to my daughter and she look up at the picture and asks if that is Jesus and I say yes and then she says, "I Sure love that Guy". I just giggled inside. She such the little humor in our house and is always saying funny stuff like that. She makes motherhood a big treat. I wish I could have a recording of all she says during the day it would be too funny. She makes my day!

I saw my future flash through my eyes.

Normally my husband takes my oldest to school because he wants that bonding time with her, but today I had the take her and man what a nightmare that was. I didn't think it was going to be that hard....swing by the school and drop her off....RIGHT......simple. Boy was I a mess, but we made it with a couple minutes to spare.
So we get all three loaded and for another reason I won't go into the back seat is in the process of being fixed so my oldest has to sit in front. So we are driving to school, I look over at her and notice she didn't clean her mouth off after brushing her teeth. I hand her a napkin and she pulls down the visor with the mirror and begins to clean her mouth. Then she takes the chapstick and uses the mirror to put the chapstick on... She turns to me with a look that she was hot stuff and so sophisticateded. My daughter is only five!
All I saw was a future glimpse of her as a teenager sitting up front putting on her makeup as she heads out to school or a date or something. I don't think I will be ever ready for that.

First Day of Kindergarten!

So I was very excited about my little one starting school. I made sure she had a well balanced lunch to take with her. I even wrote a little message on a napkin saying, "I Love you and hope you have a GREAT day at school. Love, Mom". (She can already read and write simple words).
I was very nervous that entire day. I was thinking of the thousands of things that could go wrong. Maybe she would get lost or might have an accident because she was too scared to ask the teacher to go to the bathroom. What if the other kids were mean or taught her a dirty word. Okay I was a mess all day long!!!
I was SUPER ready when the time finally came to pick her up, she came out of the gym and saw our car and waved with the biggest smile. She climbed in and talked and talked the entire time home about how cool school was.
The whole reason for me to pack her lunch was so that she could watch and see how the other kids got their hot lunches and not feel overwhelmed on the first day. My poor child got a little confused. She took out her sandwich drink and napkin and left the rest of her lunch in her lunch bag in her backpack in the classroom. The teacher ended up getting her a hot lunch since she didn't have the rest of her lunch with her.
So we get home and she tells me about her day and what fun she had. Then out of the blue she shouts, "Oh, I got your message". I hadn't expected her to save the napkin, but she did and pulls it out of her bag. Then she flips it over and between the pizza stains she wrote, “Mom I love you to I had a great day". I just sat there and hugged her and cried. My baby is growing up and I miss her already.

Monday MeMe
1. Do you have a particular meal-in-a-pinch? Something you always have on hand that can be whipped up at the last minute? I always make pancakes in-a-pinch. I have a yummy recipe my family makes...easy when all you have left in the house are eggs, milk, and flour. HA HA HA.
2. Do you have a Emergency Kit for when and if the electricity goes out? What is in it? And where do you keep it? Once a year the electricty seems to go out during the winter up here in the mountains. Last year it was for two days and we were trapped in our neighborhood with no way in or out. We have a closet fully stocked with all camping equipment, lanterns that use batteries and others that use gas propane. We camp a lot so we always have tons of replacement batteries. I also have an oil lantern like the ones you got for Mother's Day...Very helpful! We cooked on our camping stove in the garage and made lots of hot coco. We bundled up the kids and snuggled under our down comforter. We are seriously of thinking about getting a nonelectric heater for this winter!
3. Do you save water? Where and how do you store it? How much? I have a cool box water system that has a water bags that hold water and stored in stackable boxes. Together they hold about 25 gallon ofwater, not much, but it's a start.
4. you know how to change a tire on your car? Yup, I have had the pervilage of changing a tire, not fun!

Look at my pretty Garden!

Bobby is the scarecrow the girls and I designed....He is so Fashonable (as the girls put it.)
We have planted 26 tomato plants, okra, cucumbers, green beans, cow peas, zucchini, peppers, bell Peppers, and Eggpant. In the front yard instead of flowers and plants I am growing carrots and watermelons.
I particually love my heirloom tomatoes my sweetie bought for me. My favorties are the red zebra, that is stripped red and green when ripe (very cool looking), and the abraham lincolns with the pointy chins. Not bad for a first time garden.
I never thought pulling weeds and digging in the dirt could be so much fun. I find it very rewarding and I love involving my kids. We should be ready to start harvesting in the next week or two. Now all I have to do is learn how use all this produce. I love these little challenges. It keeps my mind alive and I learn lots of new things.
